BELPHEGOR Begin Writing New Material
June 28, 2004Austrian death/black metal act BELPHEGOR have started rehearsing and writing material for their fifth full-length album, tentatively due in March 2005 through Napalm Records. Drummer Torturer, who had left the group in December 2003, is said to once again be working with the band and will appear on "some new songs" on the upcoming CD.
In August, BELPHEGOR are confirmed to headline the Beach Stage at the Metal Camp festival in Tolmin, Slovenia. "This open air concert will be the last one before we enter the studio, as the new album gets all the priority it needs," the band write on their web site.
According to the group, the follow-up to this year's "Lucifer Incestus" is going to be "a milestone in extreme metal, which will rip even the blackest souls to pieces."
In other BELPHEGOR-related news, the group's 2000 release "Necrodaemon Terrorsathan" will be issued on vinyl in a limited edition of 300 copies via Poland's Agonia Records. A September 1 release is expected.
